Why EV body repair is different

Modern electric vehicles use aluminum-intensive body construction (heavier gauge, requires different welding), have live high-voltage systems near the crash zones, and rely heavily on driver-assistance sensor calibration that must be re-done after any panel replacement. A shop that repairs a Toyota Corolla well may not be qualified to touch a Tesla Model 3.
