Ideal for use on bare metal surfaces with its low odor and quick drying time, moisture cure urethane primer makes an excellent option when it comes to refinishing metal vehicles as it creates a tough surface that sands easily – ideal for most auto paint colors! Additionally, epoxy sealers and alkyd-based products may provide more solutions.
Rust-Oleum Basecoat

It should only be applied after using 220-grit sandpaper to smooth over any flaky spots in its vicinity, then allowed to dry completely before proceeding further with application of oil-based or latex paint as topcoats.
